11 Tips to Have a Creative Mind in Entrepreneurship

A creative mindset is an open mindset that will allow you to lead an energetic and fulfilling life by:

  • helping you think and feel more creatively

  • tap into your true creative expression

  • be conscious of where you are putting your energy

Remember what you’re passionate about.

When you are extremely burnt out this can be a hard question to answer, but tapping into our passions no matter how small they are allows us to fuel our creativity. It feeds the mindset with positivity and happiness. It fights off the negative mindsets or closed mindsets with limiting beliefs. When we are doing what we are passionate about our energy levels go up and we are living in the moment allowing us to call our creative energy back ourselves.

If something isn’t working - change it.

When trying to have or grow your creative mindset, it’s important to not try to force things to happen. If something isn’t working, it’s ok to adjust it. That even includes your lead magnets. If you have an awesome lead magnet but it’s not attracting your target audience, change it!

Not everything is a fixed idea.

A lot of times we get stuck in our own head that things have to be a certain way, but that’s just not true. You are a creative entrepreneur - get creative - shake it up - do something outside the norm.

Enjoy the small moments in life.

The small moments in life can bring some of the quickest happiness. Do you ever notice how beautiful the sunset is or how the light reflects rainbows at a certain angle? Every day try to enjoy a small moment. The more you start appreciating them, the easier you will start seeing them, and the more you will feel grateful .

Stay present and grounded.

If you are noticing yourself thinking about the past or projecting your thoughts of what could happen in the future, ask yourself what is happening RIGHT NOW. What 3 things do you see, what 3 things do you feel, what 3 things do you hear? - this method will allow you to pull your thoughts in the present moment and steady your train of thought.

Regulate your nervous system.

Meditation and crystals are an amazing way to regulate your nervous system. If you are new to this there are so many free youtube videos that do quick and specific meditations that will help you reset and refresh your nervous system.

But if you are looking for a guided service - I can’t recommend the Energy Refresher 1:1 session with Molly - a Reiki Master. She’s also known as Modizzle on TikTok and Instagram. I did this session with her over 3 weeks ago and can honestly say I’m still reaping the benefits. If you’re burnt out, overstimulated or just curious what an energy refresher feels like - you can get $10 off your first session with her just by using the code HERMESSYBUN - go to https://mollydonlan.as.me/ to book your session.

Stop trying to be like others or worrying what others are doing.

I can’t say this enough - the biggest creative energy drainer is when you are trying to be like someone else. Even if it’s just inspired by or similar. If you are always inspired by or trying to be like someone else, you are going to waste so much creative energy trying to anticipate their next move, or even worse you won’t be able to come up with next steps or expand on concept until they come out with something new.

The same can be said in reverse - if you are focused on all the people copying you - which I’m definitely guilty of allowing this to get to me, you’re wasting your creative energy on them. Remember, you’re always going to be one, two even three steps ahead because these concepts and ideas originated from your creativity, meaning you are less likely to fall prey to burnout just by creating them, because its something you are truly passionate about.

Be conscious of where you’re putting your energy.

Where are you putting you energy? Are you always giving it away and never finding time to recharge? Are you putting energy into positive momentum or energy vampires. I said this in the beginning of the year - but it’s 2022 reflect that energy and keep moving forward.

Color in a coloring book.

Whens the last time you colored in a coloring book? Remember how much fun it used to be? and how every page got better and better? Too often we get trapped as creatives thinking we need to create EVERYTHING just because we know we can. Take break and enjoy mindless coloring.

Embrace your weird.

If you’re craving blasting music or singing at the top of your lungs do it. If you want make a TikTok outside but scared people will judge you, do it. If you want to dye your hair DO IT! If you want to finger paint do it. Embrace your weird means embracing the thoughts that you silence because you “shouldn’t” or you “couldn’t”.

Start doing morning pages.

Morning pages is proven to enhance your life and after 6 years of doing it solo, and over a year of working will members and seeing first hand the results of doing Consciously Creative’s Morning Pages - I can confidently say it’s the first step to take you from break through to burn out.
